Founded in October 2020, Ashlen Staffing Solutions opened for business with four employees and a desire to provide first-rate service to our healthcare clients, their patients and residents, and to the families who expect their loved ones to get the best care.
Our mission is to empower every long- and short-term healthcare facility to achieve more by changing the narrative in healthcare. We ensure seamless operations continue during staffing shortages, bring families peace of mind, and push for legislation that protects NC medical staff.

Ashlen’s Story
If we are lucky enough to reach our golden years like our senior community members, no doubt we will want someone to treat us with the utmost respect. The red-carpet treatment—that’s what I tell my staff.
During my first year in college, my grandfather became a double amputee. I’m not sure my family or I was prepared for what that truly meant. Grandpa Ed was placed in a rehabilitation center to learn how to walk and live with his prosthetics.
He began to get bed sores because he wasn’t turned appropriately or often enough. His daily grooming was neglected, sometimes, he wasn’t bathed at all, and his bedding wasn’t changed as often as I thought it should be.
Angry and frustrated, I took it upon myself to fill in the gaps. I made sure he was comfortable during his stay at the center by spending every break between classes and volleyball practice to be with him.
As family members, we care about our loved ones, and I expected the rehabilitation center staff to give him the care he needed. Grandpa Ed was an army vet who was big on routine and cleanliness and to see him in a rehabilitation center getting shoddy treatment was heartbreaking. He deserved top-tier healthcare service mixed with a lot of love and respect.
As a college student, I knew very little about running a business, let alone a healthcare business. After graduation, I entered corporate America, forgetting my passion for caring for the elderly. I went on to get an MBA in Human Resources, and for 12 years, I had a promising career. But it wasn’t fulfilling. Something was missing. My passion was caring for others, and I realized my purpose was to ensure families never experience what my family went through while my grandfather was in the rehabilitation center.
That’s why I formed Ashlen Staffing—to ensure people receive the greatest respect, compassion, and dignity they deserve. My background in human resources allows me to hire qualified candidates and create a work environment that supports their needs as much as our clients’ needs. I make sure we match the right medical professional with the right facility.
